Getting Ready For May

My sister Amber has an exchange student from Thailand staying with her for the school year. With all the craziness of the wedding, she was running behind on the things that she needed to get done before May came to stay, so I packed my bags and went to stay at my Mom's for a few days to help out. We all put in a lot of work cleaning carpets, painting, and the general clean up of the house. We worked hard and it payed off because Amber's house looked great when May arrived. Here are a few pictures of the results of our hard work. They are not the best because my camera had something on the lens and I didn't notice until I got home.

May is such a sweet girl! We are so happy that she could come. On her first night here she gave everyone gifts. They were very beautiful and unique things from her country and they came wrapped in hand made paper. She gave me 6 silver bangle bracelets, Mom was given a beautiful scarf or wrap? I am not sure what they call it but it is so pretty! Amber was given a hand embroidered shirt with a elephant on it that May says is good luck in her country. Damian was given a new tie, Rachel a silver bracelet, and all the kids got these cute little key chain dolls.

How great is that. Ambers house looks awesome. You guys did a lot of work. Now when you move here you'll be painting more walls and decorating your new house!
